Udall-Martin Associates Ltd. is committed to providing high standards in every part of the business, including client care, ecological surveys, report writing and health and safety. We ensure that we have appropriate survey licences and are members of professional bodies. All ecological work is overseen by Susie Udall, Consultancy Manager.

Ecological Reports
We are committed to delivering professional work of the highest quality and providing accurate and robust advice to clients. We have proven ability to clearly communicate technical advice, with our ecological reports providing concise and robust information. Ecological impact assessment (EcIA) reports follow Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management Guidelines (IEEM). Susie Udall (Consultancy Manager) oversees all ecological work, including personally providing quality assurance for all reports.
Professional Bodies
Our staff are members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and work in accordance with their Code of Practice. Susie Udall (Consultancy Manager) is also a Chartered Environmentalist through the Society of the Environment.
Client Care
We value our clients and their objectives and believe that effective communication and client care is of paramount importance. We are committed to delivering professional work of the highest quality and meeting our clients’ needs. Often ecological work is required on a tight timescale. We work effectively and efficiently to complete all our work to often strict deadlines. We believe that informing and updating clients of the progress of the ecological work throughout the process is essential.
Ecological Surveys and Mitigation
Our ecological surveys follow standard methodologies and mitigation works follow up-to-date best practice guidelines. We ensure that our ecological surveys are carried out to a high standard by suitably qualified and experienced personnel and at the most appropriate time of year.
Health and Safety
For all sites we carry out a risk assessment and produce method statements to ensure that all ecological work on site is carried out safely and our staff follow best practice measures. We follow our own strict health and safety guidelines. Our company health and safety policy and an example of a risk assessment/ method statement can be provided on request.
Survey Licences
We and our associates hold Natural England survey licences for many protected species, including bats, barn owl, great crested newt, hazel dormouse, lesser silver water beetle, otter and white-clawed crayfish. We have held Natural England disturbance licences for badger and hold current European Protected Species (EPS) mitigation licences for bats.
