White-clawed Crayfish Mitigation in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire

white clawed crayfish mitigation

Susie Udall (at a previous employment) produced a detailed white-clawed crayfish Mitigation Method Statement for major works at Markeaton Brook, Derbyshire.  She also provided on-site supervision and led a team of ecologists with a white-clawed crayfish rescue and translocation programme. The River Lean is a strong-hold for white-clawed crayfish in Nottinghamshire and during repairs to a weir at Newstead Abbey, Susie carried out an emergency rescue and translocation exercise involving 100s of white-clawed crayfish.

Work conducted for a local authority in 2003, 2005 and 2006.
