Udall-Martin Associates assisted with a European Protected Species mitigation licence (EPS) application for brown long-eared bats and pipistrelle bats, along with method statements and supporting documents for building demolition works. We carried out initial bat scoping/ roosting surveys, dusk emergence survey and dawn re-entry surveys.
A new purpose-built bat house was constructed for brown long-eared bats in 2012. For pipistrelle bats two sets of three bat roosting boxes were installed on nearby mature trees. A 100 plus bat box scheme was also created on site with the first check due in september 2013.
