Udall-Martin Associates conducted an ecological assessment for a proposed wind park development (comprising nine wind turbines) in Leicestershire.
This involved an Extended Phase-1 habitat survey, desk study and production of an ecological assessment report.
In 2010 we carried out further Phase-2 surveys involving presence / absence great crested newt surveys and subsequent population estimate surveys for great crested newt (to inform a European Protected Species mitigation licence).
Planning permission has subsequently been secured for the development.
Work conducted for an environmental company during both 2009 and 2010.
