Udall-Martin Associates Ecological Consultancy recently carried out a water vole (Arvicola amphibius) survey in Derbyshire for a client. We recorded extensive evidence of this Priority Biodiversity Action Plan Species along the entire section of the brook surveyed. Numerous water vole burrows, runs, fresh latrines, foot prints and feeding remains were identified as well as an actual water vole swimming across the brook to the far bank.
